The Office of the Public Service Commission (PSC) has officially signed a contract with Aelan Construction, appointing the company as the contractor for the construction of its new office in Tanna Island, which will serve the Tafea Province.
The signing ceremony was led by Mr. James Melteres, Secretary of the PSC, who acknowledged the presence of the contractor and expressed his appreciation for the partnership.
“This new office will not only strengthen public service delivery in Tanna, but also support other government ministries as they travel to the island,” said Mr. Melteres.
This development marks a significant milestone, as it will be the first PSC office established in Tanna Island. The PSC has also outlined plans for future offices in Pentecost Island for Penama Province, Santo for Sanma Province (currently finalizing funding arrangements), Torba and Malampa Provinces, pending resolution of land issues.
The contractor expressed gratitude to the PSC for the trust placed in Aelan Construction to deliver this important infrastructure project.
“We are honored to be selected for this task and committed to delivering a facility that will benefit the government, public service, and the people of the Republic of Vanuatu,” said the representative of Aelan Construction.
Construction is expected to commence soon, with the project aimed at enhancing accessibility and efficiency in public service operations across the province.
