PSC Supports Department of Women’s Affairs

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has kept its pledge to assist the Department of Women’s Affairs, by contributing Vt2million towards the maintenance and upgrade of its main office building in Port Vila.

A contract agreement was signed on Friday the 12th January 2018 for Loli Business Enterprise to possess site and commence work. The PSC secretary Jacques Gideon was present to witness the signing with representatives from DWA, Ministry of Justice and the Australian aid program - Stretem Rod Blong Jastis mo Sefti.

After the signing, the Director General of Justice, Pacco Siri thanked the PSC for the generous support, and extended its appreciation to SRBJS for co-funding the project along with extra funding from the government’s Pam recovery fund.

The DWA office building is located in town opposite the VFSC building. It received damages to walls, windows and roof causing leaks internally and is estimated at around ten million vatu.
